The beginning wheel classes are designed for students that have never used the potter’s wheel and students that are still developing their basic throwing skills. Students will learn the basics- how to center the clay on the wheel and make forms such as mugs, bowls, and vases. Students will learn how to trim their work, add embellishments (such as handles and feet), along with decoration and glazing techniques.

2 hours of instruction per week
One 25 lb. Bag of clay
Community tools to use
24 hour access to studio
All materials required for glazing
2500 cubic inches of firing space
Additional charge for extra clay is $ 15.00 per 25 lb. bag of clay. Personal tool kits are available for purchase as well as extra firing space.
